Los Angeles Animal Control officers say they have apprehended a stray pit bull mix they believe attacked a three-year-old Lancaster girl in December.

A mother and daughter now face manslaughter charges in connection with a pit bull attack that left their elderly neighbor severely disfigured. The new charges were brought after the victim's December death was linked to the earlier attack.
