Commercial Airplane Diverted After Dog Gets Loose on Airplane & Bites Two People
A United Airlines flight from Newark New Jersey to Phoenix Arizona on December 7th had to be diverted after a 89 year old passenger's dog named Mandy broke out of her cage and bit another passenger and then ran up and down the aisle where she bit a flight attendant who tried to grab her. As a precaution the pilot diverted the plan to Pittsburg where the airplane was met by police and fire department. The owner of the dog and the dog was taken off the plane and the flight continued to Phoenix without incident.
