How We Will Prove Your Dog Bite Case in Court
95% of our dog bite cases settle. If we do go to court and we try your dog bite case in front of a jury, we are experts in proving dog bite law as follows:
The jury will be given written instructions submitted by us which will state the following:
- People who own dogs can be held responsible for the harm from a
dog bite, no matter how carefully they guard or restrain their dogs.
- To establish a claim, our client must prove all of the following:
- That [name of defendant] owned a dog;
- That the dog bit our client while [he/she] was in a public place or lawfully on private property;
- That our client was harmed; and
- That [name of defendant]’s dog was a substantial factor in causing our clients harm.
- Our client was lawfully on private property of the owner if [he/she] was performing any duty required by law or was on the property at the invitation, expressed or implied, of the owner.
