Fast-Acting Rabies Antibody May Ultimately Be Approved For All Dog Bite Victims
The San Diego Dog Bite Lawyers and Orange County Dog Bite Lawyers who handle dog bite cases throughout California are proud to announce that The Institute of India known as, Serun, is developing a new anti-rabies drug which they believe will instantly deactivate the deadly rabies virus and provide immediate protection in severe dog bite cases. The drug is made up of monoclonal ready-made antibodies. Thus far it has completed Phase 1 testing and is now entering Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials. These antibodies can immediate protection to a Dog Bite victim.
Some vaccines generally take 14 days to produce the requisite antibodies.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines a severe dog bite as a single or multiple transdermal bite causing contamination of a mucus membrane with saliva into the victims broken skin which can cause rabies.
